Less than a week after the federal government had to bail out American International Group Inc., the company sent executives on a $440,000 retreat to a posh California resort, lawmakers investigating the company's meltdown said Tuesday.

- Well the Obama recession we are going into sure has brought gas prices down. As McCain point out last night Obama took three times as much lobbiest (bribe) money from Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae as any other senator. When given a chance to respond Obama didn't deny it. He actually did it.

- Biden shouldn't through stones, he lives in a glass house. His son has been making over a $1 million a year as a Washington lobbiest. How can Biden look honest hard working people in the eye and say the things he does about Palin.

- It seemed like Joe Biden was starting to cry as he answered a question involving his son. This didn't look to good when you think about how he would react in a crisis. As president you can't break down in tough situations.

- I just tried to contact my congressman about the upcoming vote and the congress email system is not accepting email. It says it is due to high traffic. Odd that they quickly reschedule a vote on something people clearly do not agree with and then they don't accept emails

- Why is congress considering passing the bailout again? They got it right first time around. The investors were encouraged by the news that the system has been put on notice that they need to straighten out their behavior and they are returning to the market.

- Why do they expect us to bail out debt held by foreign countries. They bought the mortgages themselves, no one forced them on them. They took a risk and it didn't turn out. Why is that our problem. We don't know how we are going to pay for social security and medicare in the future.
